In the sixties, I was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland, trained as an engineer, and started project management in the energy industry in the seventies. Now partially retired, I enjoy spending my additional time on photography. Working in this industry has allowed me and my family to travel the world and live in many locations. Home is now Perth, Western Australia, since the '90s.
My photography has advanced to another level, and it is more evident than each shot becomes more artwork than simple image capture. I am trying to recreate what I see in my mind when taking a photograph and have always been a lover of digital art and image manipulation. My father and younger brother, Brian, influenced and guided photography and digital arts with an expressive, diverse, and esoteric music background. A piece of pioneering electronic music and video artist as one half of the future sound of London and amorphous androgynous. I also featured as part of the Perth based audio-visual band DXU:555 taking up the visual duties alongside James on sounds.
I plan to pursue image creation as a full-time career. I already have one book published and am currently working on a second. I have been fortunate enough to exhibit in Delhi, India, and twice in KL, Malaysia and married Carole with two children, Laura and Craig and currently one grandson, young Hunter.
